In February 23-29th 2020, a delegation from the University of Nairobi led by Prof. Francis Mulaa, Prof. Rose Nyikal Principal CAVS, Prof. Leonida Kerubo, Prof Ayub Gitau and Dr. Thomas Ochuku Mbuya visited ParisTech to explore opportunities of cooperation between Paris Tech Graduate Engineering Schools and the University of Nairobi, in order to develop joint academic programs, industrial linkages, staff and students mobility, and research collaboration.
The University of Nairobi delegation within the framework of FACEA (French-African Cooperation for Engineering in Africa) project supported by ADSEFA program visited a number of French Engineering Schools, research and teaching labs, innovations hubs, companies and Research and Development Centers such as Ecole des Ponts, Chimie ParisTech, AgroParisTech, Institut dOptiqué Graduate School, CentraleSupélec, Mines ParisTech among others.
The team had a fruitful discussion with ParisTech on training in engineering, apprenticeship, research in energy, geosciences and sustainable development. Research and innovation in agriculture, water management, bioeconomy, ecology and food products were also topics of discussion.
